Project Background
The Project that the company was appointed to construct, involved the following repair and remedial works to a 3- Level Commercial Parking Garage :
• Repairs to corroded structural steel members. Note during construction one main beam was discovered to have been corroded to a point it needed to be replaced.
• In conjunction with the Project Strucutral Engineer we came up with a solution to install additional support beams to reinforce the existing structure.
• We provided a design for temporary support works pending installation of these new steel members, such that the Parking Garage could still be used safely.i
• The new beams were threaded and installed into the structure after hours.
• The Project also included repair works to deteriorated concrete as well as asphalt sealing works.
The Project works were completed on schedule despite the added additional works.
